The pandemic isn’t over. And yet, many of us are being asked to work, live, and produce as if it were. In just the past few weeks, the number of people who have come to me and said, explicitly or implicitly, that they need to “make up” for lost time in the next few months is staggering. I feel it, too.
So if it isn’t “the end”, what if we consciously took a pit stop, a chance to rest, reflect, and think about how to move forward with compassion for ourselves, and our people.
This 60 minute workshop will be held on June 3 at 1 pm EDT (which you can attend live, or go through the recording later at your own pace) is going to include:
a few invitations to connect with your body (deep breathing, getting the wiggles out, etc) that you can accept or decline!
a guided visualization to help you connect with yourself - past, present, and future
journaling prompts and exercises to help you offer and embody compassion for yourselves and your people
a chance to share and connect, if that’s your thing.
This is not:
a productivity workshop - this is for our emotional and human selves, rather than only our scholarly selves
a therapy session - I am not a therapist so this is a self guided, choose your own adventure type deal. Take what serves and leave the rest!
a suffering olympics where you’ll be asked to put your experiences “in perspective” - this is a chance to give yourself some care and support on your own terms.
This is a pay what you can offering - spots are limited only by what my tech will accomodate. A portion of the proceeds will go to SisTERS PGH - a a BLACK and TRANS led non-profit organization that serves QTBIPOC (Queer Trans Black Indigenous People of Color) trans, and nonbinary people within Southwestern PA.
